Wang Zhaokai, was born in Nanjing, Jiangsu province in March 1932, studied successively in Nanjing, Chongqing, Guangzhou primary, secondary schools, took Taiwan university in 1949, in 1955 admitted into the United States of Michigan state university as a graduate student, and in 1958, got the PhD in the United States of Michigan state university. In 1980, he was elected to the member of American Association of Agricultural Engineers; In 1990, he was awarded the outstanding service reward of Governor of the State of Hawaii; In 1994, he was elected to the member of R&D Institute of American Medicine and Biotechnology Engineering Association, and was appointed into a member of agricultural mechanization expert group by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization; In 1995, he was elected to the academician of American National Academy of Engineering; In 1996, Hawaii's 13th senate and the house of representatives passed a resolution recognizing its contribution to the state of Hawaii. He is one of the founders and the first President of the American Water Industry Engineering Association and has served as an adviser to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, the World Bank, the United States Department of Agriculture, and the Rockefeller Foundation. So far, there have been 140 academic papers published in international journals, 3 monograph publications and 4 patent applications.
